I've opened up my user forum for guests to view but not comment unless they are a paid member.

I'd like to take this one step further and have vbulleting truncate the threads after a sentence or so. I just want to show people enough to peak there interest so they will join.

Is this possible, currently it shows them everything but does not allow them to post a reply.

Thanks for your help.

You can limit it by the amount of topics/posts viewed and such:

And also by if the member has posted in the topic (hide hack I think) but I am not sure if it is possible to limit to one line of a post.

This is what i'm trying to accomplish, but the plugin you gave me might give me another alternative.

Let me know if what they are doing on the linked page is possible as it would be my first choice.

Thanks again.

it's actually the responses to the questions that have been truncated. It reads like the following:

For what it's worth, I recently began using the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6L. Although I don't shoot sports, I'm accustomed to the 70-200 f/2.8, and the 100-400 handles similarly. It features a push/pull zoom design that drives -- Become a Full Member to see full reply. Click Here--
