Names not clearing from "who is on-line display"?

I seem to have something weird that's just started with the "Who is On" display"...

Here's a typical example....

It's showing on-line members = Bob S, jjackman, newfie1, SwedeShooter, vaughn

However, Bob S seems to be stuck at 2:40pm yesterday reading his own profile and still shows logged in. jjackman was on at 1:40am this mornng and left, but he's showing as still logged in. vaughn was on at 9:01pm and logged out, but he's also showing as still logged in. The other two seem to be logged in currently and are really there.

Is there a way of clearing this buffer, or running a TASK that does, so I can get this part of the display to be accurate?

Second, what would cause it not to reset and clear people's names when they log off? I've never had this problem before....

check the cookie number in vbulletin options-> cookie and header options

the first option have a number. if thats too high, it results in what you are facing now

i think the default is 900

Yes, it's set at 900...

What would be an optimal setting?

.... and, after I do that, is there any way to reset the current inaccurate display?
