Images in Quick Reply

I know this has been addressed somewhere on this forum, but I haven't been able to find an answer.

In "Quick Reply" when you insert a smilie, all you see it a link, like (it keeps turning into a smilie) instead of the actual smilie. When you post the message you do see the smilie.

My question is what do I need to do so the actual image shows up. I've been or boards that have the actual picture in the quick reply.

are these smilies doing the same in post reply? did you add the smilies your self? or are they default that came with the forum? if you added them with another image host that would be the problem.

The smilie or any other image shows up correctly when the message is posted. My question is why don't they show up when you're drafting a reply. If I click on one of the smilies I get "text", instead of the actual image.

This is because the WYSIWYG editor is disabled. Personally, I think it's better disabled, but I'm sure you can enable it somewhere in vBulletin Options.
