your header is cute, but is not fading 'til the end of the color, so it looks a bit strange...
and for once, i'm happy to see someone start a site with less than one million forums in it.. :)

That only happens sometimes, it's weird, trying to find a cause. Just to let you know, it is supposed to fade until the end (and it does on my browser).

One's for help with anything and one's for flash, I'm trying to figure out a way to cut it down :).

Found the problem and fixed :).

Here are my suggestions.
Change the teal background to white.
Fill the empty space on the banner
Redo the "Red Vortex" text on the banner.
Change the category header so it's the same as the navbar color.
You might need to change the 'thead' in CSS so it's a lighter blue than the navbar.
