How can I eliminate spammers???

I'm going crazy. Everyday, some new spammers register and post porn or search engine links all over the place. It's a task to have to ban these guys everyday and I'm sick of it.

I don't know what to do. Banning e-mail domains doesn't seem to do much.

I need ideas. I have vBulletin 3.5.3.

Have you tried the NoSpam (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=133937)! hack for 3.5? I installed the 3.6.x version of this on my forums and it cut it down dramatically. Give it a go. It definitely makes it tougher for spammers to bot their way through your sign up process.

I use no spam and also a timer one that counts how long it takes them to register. It catches a few a week I think. I don't recall the name though.
