Stop cheating in ibproarcade

One of my forum member has discover the tamper data addon for firefox and has been cheating in all the ibproarcade games. is there any way to stop this addon?

Yeah i think some ones being doing that also on my site and created while scores... I'm going to ask how to remove the 'best scores' ever

use the new protected games (called "v32" or "v33") they do encrypt their data and results and detect manipulated results :)

MrZeropage can you tell me how to :

1) clear best scores of all time ... it seems there used to be a way, but i can't find it no more.
2) clear best score of all time for just one user in particular.

You could try this,,

admincp >> Arcade >> Games List >> click on ALL..
Go down the list of games and find the ones with that users best score..
Put a check mark it the box to the right of that game or games..
Scroll to the bottom to see: Functions to execute with selected Games
Put a check mark in the Reset BEST RESULT EVER box and then click start..

Man...this is such BS. Someone basically RUINED our arcade by doing this. Now everyone knows about this.

Yeah using the firefox plugin right? - i had two people...dev_nulled one of them, cleared his scores etc... then the other one... both banned, i did get an email saying please let me in...no it's not true... but it was... i let one member back in and he replied he couldn't be bothered to get his 'high' scores back... all very weird, but just ban them...

You could try this,,

this doesn't work for me, it won't actually reset best ever.

2. Where can I get these games? :( I can't find any "safer" games.. :(

Could someone please pm me more info (why, what, how?) on the firefox plug in/cheat? I have 5 arcades on different sites and on 2 of them I have been suspicious of some of the high scores set by certain members. Would like to know more about this before talking to the members.

i could tell you how to do it... but i won't because most of you will start cheating with it... so don't bother asking, i think the main focus is to identify the cheaters rather than working out how they did it... it's a simple matter and it's not going to help you stop them... you just have to very clear in your arcade (announcements etc) that cheating will not be tolerated and scores deleted and or members banned from the arcade

why would i want to cheat in the arcade and spoil our members fun, i think i have 1 or 2 cheating but its proving it.
if i had an idea has this works in ff i can confront the cheaters

you can only tell by there score you cant tell anyway else. if you see a user with a score thats impossible to beat then its likely they are.

If somehow they have entered a high score and you delete all scores does their score get reset? I have banned a person from the arcade suspected of changing their score this way and want to reset scores.

Am bumping this thread as once again had two different members getting high scores in games using the tamper data with firefox. Both members created a high score, higher then the game allows. Can anything be done to stop this from happening with the arcade?

I can't stop using this Firefox-Addon as I can't detect it, but using secured v33-games it should be impossible to cheat as scores and gameids are encrypted there

Okay, so with people using the add on to cheat, this time resetting top scores and best results does not remove the score they changed. Guess the only way to clear it is to delete the games that they changed the score in.
