How To Send Welcome PM to new user

Could anybody possibly tell me how to set something up where my forum will send a PM to a user when they register? I thought there was something in the default VB options but im sure im wrong about that...Ive tried doing a search and i cant really come up with anything..Ive gone through tons of mods/hacks and found a few PM codes but i dont think any of them have been for the purpose of sending a PM to new users...Any help would be a big help, thanks a lot.

You don't need any addon to send automatic welcome message to the user. As tobybird mentioned, you must go to the AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Welcome Private Message. Just write the username to the blank space. You can also change the welcome message from the Languages & Phrases. Or directly go:

hello guyz. in my forum the welcome mail send to @yahoo.com or @gmail.com but not @ hotmail.com why is it so can any 1 help me out in this please thanks

vBulletin sends out all emails using the same procedure. Your emails are probably treated as spam by the hotmail spam filters.

Ask your members to whitelist your domain in their E-Mail clients.

but if hotmail filter consider my mails as spam it should be in junk box ? and plus my welcomepm for the register first time entrance in the forum also not working
