Organize Mods by Subforums

It is nearly impossible to view all the mods. As I go through the pages comments are being made and mods are being bumped.

It would be VERY easy to setup sub-forums to make it more organized and a better user experience. Categories could include:

Admincp Mods
Profile Mods
Optimization Mods
Add-Ons (Completely new features)
Etc.

Sub forums are not necessary, the same functionality is provided by the thread prefix system.

Could add mod thread tags, make so mods can have more than one tag, and create a bunch of specialized tags.

Threads will not have multiple tags, that would mean modifying the prefix system which is not going to happen.

As far as the present list of tags is concerned, yes it could probably do with some changes, and if you have suggestions then you can post them (note that doesn't mean we will implement them) - please bear in mind that removing tags is not a great option as that would leave threads that used that prefix in limbo - nor do we want a huge list of tags.

Well, under the risk of sounding silly, I'd suggest these tags

Chatting
Statistics

There are many mods that would fall under Chatting, including your flashchat mods Paul, and a number of others that would fall in Statistics.

It was more noticeable (and easier in my opinion) in the old style when the prefix selection was on top of the thread list and not the bottom.

I think prefixes should be applied to all new template modifications as well.

That is true, but the style isn't going to be changed to move that whole section to the top again. Perhaps what we need is a dropdown selector at the top of a modification forum, just left of the 'Options' & 'Search this Section' dropdowns.

I think prefixes should be applied to all new template modifications as well.I don't know why prefix is disabled in template forums, it's always been that way while I've been on the staff so I don't know who made the decision or why. Possibly because the template section wasn't split up into categories in the old days before the prefix system was implemented. We'll discuss this internally.

Really just the "Display Options" are needed at the top. Nothing else. It would be a great useability enhancer. As it is, you have to scroll to the bottom to refine your display.

Yes but only if you type in a name and even then there is only 1 option
I think having a dropdown menu at the top of the modification page would really be awesome
