Edit Password is messed up

One of the forum mods was complaining about this issue, here's a quote on what he said:

I'm having crazy password issues. not sure if anyone else is or not. this was the only way to get the message out since the Contact Us page rediercts me back to the password change page.

"Your password is $passworddaysold days old, and has therefore expired.

Please change your password using this page."

When i logged into his account (via a plugin), that page appeared, when i clicked the "this page" link it took me back to the same page. Any ideas why its doing this?

Please check at Usergroups-->User Manager-->Moderators-->

Password Expiry (If you specify a number of days here, users will be required to change their password when this amount of time elapsed since they last changed)

Password History (If you specify a number of days here, users will not be allowed to change their password to a value that they have used in the past x days.
Note: this setting has no effect if password expiry is set to 0 days)

Please Make sure it is set to "0"
