My archive doesn't work on apache server

I just wondering why my archive doesn't work on my server.

The Search-Friendly Archive works only under the Apache web server with PHP compiled as a module.

It provides a basic structure that search engines can spider to grab all the content on your site.

I didn't understand why it says it works only under the Apache web server with PHP compiled as a module. Can ya tell me how to compile it? It don't on my clean install. Please help :)
