is it posible for config.php to be bypassed?
user 1 has all the permissions but when i put my member number in it gets ignored!
There are other admin members on the site but it is only user id 1 that is mentioned

u might still have to modify the permissions for the member you want to add as admin

administrator permissions is the last option under the 'usergroups' tab

Hope that helps :)

You must add in the 3 following sections nÂș of your ID:

.-USERS WITH ADMIN LOG VIEWING PERMISSIONS

.-USERS WITH ADMIN LOG PRUNING PERMISSIONS

.-SUPER ADMINISTRATORS

That yes, also as the friend says, Topten; you must give permissions in the user group the same one ID.

Greetings

thanks guys got there in the end only thing is that i had to give other admin enhanced rights through config.php in order for him to give me admin rights before i could go in and make things right

Surely that must be a bug!! new owner of forums shouldnt be at the mercy of former owners
