What keeps people using vB 3.5?

I know some if not a lot of people still use vB 3.5. Why people hold the upgrade, because of hacks?

I have the choice to use 3.5.8 or 3.6.5 for my new site. And i chose 3.5 mainly just because i planned it for 3.5.x

What does 3.5 have that 3.6 doesn't for you to make that choice?

In my eyes its the mods that are available to 3.5 and would be a bother converting them all to 3.6

A lot of 3.5 mods work as-is with 3.6. Both of mine do.

I would imagine that some people haven't renewed, so they can't upgrade. :)

I have 3.5.4 and have been putting off upgrading for the past few months because of lack of internet access. Now I am back I am just plain terrified of crashing the whole thing especially since I havent figured out how to restore a back up yet.

I have 7 mods and nearly every template is edited so I am also looking at a lot of work and a lot of headaches.

I had the same problem and couldn't face the pain of going through the whole thing again. So I hired someone to do it for me. Turned out great, and was worth every penny.
