How about allowing HTML code in the rules? You can use the same trick as my hack :Send emails with HTML as HTML (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=137593).

Ive searched high and low but not having much luck!

Its in vbulletin options.

Scroll down to the bottom and you should see it
