I'd like to know my limits on siggies, and what i can't display...

as example, i know i can provide link to my site, a banner, even the photo of my kids... but if i have some referrals, some sponsors, or a banner about my host ... what can i display ?!

They are in the "Signature permissions" box in the "Edit Signature" part of your User CP ;)

the "content" of the signature is not moderated then ?! (aside of the adult, racist content ?!)

the focus here Luky will be to find that "Naked Chris" somewhere... lol

my point is that i'll start advertising for WebHosting SPECIALLY FOR VBULLETIN... soon... and as i'm the only one in the place who is providing professional hosting for vBulletin, i'd like to know if i can put my little 234x60 banner in the siggy...

Your question confused me: "Limits" implies the figures and rules about line lengths etc...

The rules you are looking for are covered by the General Site Rules; If your signature content violates one or more of these rules then it is against the rules :)

Ok, i was told by a moderator that my affiliate link and my banner for "hosting vBulletin forums" is illegal, even if there is not a single rule against advertising and affiliate stuff...

SO i require that the rule was debated and written.

same thing for commercial advertisement... the rules was re-written because everybody is bored to discuss about it... we need rules to be written, or stop chasing the witches...

I would strongly advise you to do as requested by a staff member.

So would i *shivvers* I certainly do wonder how this protest is going to end up though. I dont see whats so bad about affilate links, but i still dont click them. Anyways, this is the wrong thread for that junk :)

i don't care about the affiliate... it was just a counter anyway. but the service is important because 90% of the questions about hosts available for vBulletin ends up in tie because nobody is sure to be able to be hosted properly anywhere... if i can host people with a good service, why wouldn't i be able to advertise it?!

hum, good, administration wins...

Amusing claim that.

www.geekydesigns.com has been offering vBulletin-centric hosting for years, and even I provide it.

What exactly gives you the impression you are the 'only one' providing such a service?

As the signature rules have been added regarding signature links, this thread is being closed.
