Certain users/groups can use certain styles.
The main idea i have for this is; i want my members to pay a subscription fee to use other styles. The default site style would be free, but anytime someone tries to change, a message appears telling them they dont have permission to use the style, along with a link back to the default style.

I think there's one here that was made for 3.5, but users have said it works with the 3.6 series.
Edit: After re-reading your post, the mod I was referring to allows you to select which usergroups can use which styles.

My board used to have this feature when we were using an old version of vBulletin. Unfortunately since we've upgraded to 3.6.0 the site owner/coder person hasn't had time to work on getting the hack back.
Once people paid the subscription the "Supporter" styles became available for them to pick from. We had a screenshot of each in the Gallery so people could preview the styles they couldn't use if they weren't Supporters. ;)
Unfortunately I don't have the slightest idea of how to implement such a thing. So, this post probably wasn't very helpful. Except that I am very interested in this modification as well, if someone makes it.

Right, like I said in my post above. There's a mod here which allows you to specify which styles a usergroup can use. So, when a member pays, they are moved into a new group, say subscribers. That group would be allowed to use all styles, or just the ones you specify.

Oh, I see! That would be exactly what I need. Thanks, I'll go look for it. :)
