Hi there,

I was wondering if there was such an addon similar to a 3.4.x addon which was a helpcenter which will be compatiable with VB 3.6.x

Thanks.

I run a software specific forum so using that won't help me to help my members.

So basically its a mod to limit the help sections and asigning it to certain usergroups? Interesting. I'd like to see this updated

This seems like quite a popular request. I'll try and get hold of the orginal creator of this hack and see if he will allow for it to be ported over ;)

I'm going to develop this modification for everyone.

I have just set up my own portfolio website, PaulSonny (http://www.paulsonny.com). Where I am currently developing two modifications.

I'm just waiting to sort out a vBulletin installation and then i'll be up and running and would appreciate all comments and feature requests to get this on the road. If anyone is interested in helping out for either modification, please get in touch.

Thanks, Paul.

thats great :)
just wanted to tell you that your site doesn?t work i just get the message that the site is not found. gonna try later again.

and i think that the ticket should be saved in a forum as thread so if you remove the mod the tickets will still be there just that they look different with this..

sorry for my bad english

I have tried my site and it seems to be working for me, but its just became active so there might be a few early activation teething problems.

EDIT: The site is working, but if you try and click the Forums link then im afraid it wont work until I have sorted a vBulletin installation, some time today.

SECOND EDIT: and i think that the ticket should be saved in a forum as thread so if you remove the mod the tickets will still be there just that they look different with this..

I have added the option to enter a forum ID and it will create a new thread with each new support ticket.

Thanks, Paul.

So far, administrators have the ability to add/edit and delete departments. Department options include a title, the status of the department (open/closed) and which usergroups are allowed to use this department, all done via the admin panel. Will produce a screenshot shortly.

Ability to turn the modification on and off, also the ability to enter a Forum ID if you would like to create a new thread with each new support ticket. (0 to disable).

It is, are you planning on releasing the mod for the help desk anytime soon?

PaulSonny

I predict the release to be 1, possibly 2 weeks ago all going to plan.

Thanks, Paul.

Hi all,

The Helpcenter is currently in production. If you're interested in this hack/mod, then please post suggestions at: www.paulsonny.com

We plan a 'beta' release in the next week or so. We also have the vBcart in production. :)

Thanks.
