Nice template. It's not too dark and not to light. Great combinations for black.

This file was created using a different version of vBulletin from the one you are running.
Your version: 3.6.5
File version: 3.6.4
This is what I got when I tried installing it. Is there a 6.5 version of this? Or am I just missing out on something here?

Just click the ignore version option and upload, no issues

Any way to get the forum status markers to be matted with the background? Or at least on a darker color so the white anti-alias doesn't show up.

The forum icons can be list in a table so it will look better. If we matte with the background in alternating colors later the forum icon list will not look good because the page background is dark.
what you can do is
goto:
Style Manager>blacknight>edit templates>Forumhome Templates> FORUMHOME>
scroll down.
Replace the coded in between this comment tag <!-- icons and login code --> with below:
<!-- icons and login code -->
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="100%">
<tr valign="bottom">
<td>
<table class="tborder" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" border="0" width="100%" align="center">
<tr class="alt1">
<td class="alt2"><div align="center"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/forum_new.gif" alt="$vbphrase[contains_new_posts]" border="0" /></div></td>
<td class="smallfont"> $vbphrase[forum_contains_new_posts]</td>
<td class="alt2"><div align="center"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/forum_old.gif" alt="$vbphrase[contains_no_new_posts]" border="0" /></div></td>
<td class="smallfont"> $vbphrase[forum_contains_no_new_posts]</td>
<td class="alt2"><div align="center"><img src="$stylevar[imgdir_statusicon]/forum_old_lock.gif" alt="$vbphrase[a_closed_forum]" border="0" /></div></td>
<td class="smallfont"> $vbphrase[forum_is_closed_for_posting]</td>
</tr>
</table>
</td></tr><tr align="right">
<if condition="!$show['guest']">
<!-- member logout -->
<td align="$stylevar[right]"><a href="login.php?$session[sessionurl]do=logout&logouthash=$bbuserinfo[logouthash]" onclick="return log_out()"><phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]">$vbphrase[log_out_x]</phrase></a></td>
<!-- end member logout -->
</if>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- / icons and login code -->
you can change the table width that suits you.

Shouldn't you just make this part of the default shipped template? Then its more polished and refined. I know I can alter it but little steps like that added in as default make everything look better.

how do i upload the files that arent in a folder?? such as the blacknight_catbg, blacknight_cbg, blacknight_cbgtop, blacknight_headbg, blacknight_navR files??
i mean I know how to upload them through ftp and put them in my images folder.. but when i put them there they dont show on my site..
only things that work are the buttons, status icon and misc folders. im having this trouble with every skin
i mean. the misc, statusicon and buttons folders have file paths in the admincp.. so those are never a problem. but what about these other files without a path and without a folder?? i tried putting them in the misc folder but that didnt work either

But, make it a style with "No Parent".
Question to anyone, where do you load the PSD files, how do you work with them?
