Automatically change ALL CAPS and "!!!" in thread titles

Hi there,

Some people use to go overboard in their thread titles when they think they have something urgent to say. An automatic feature to prevent certain formattings would be nice.

There is already a feature in vBulletin to automatically transform ALL CAPS text into lowercase within postings. I would like to have the same feature for thread titles.

In the same vein, a feature that limits the number of consecutive exclamation marks or question marks would be nice.

So:

"HEY THERE!!! Where is the update???"

Would end up as:

"Hey there! Where is the update?"

Any idea or recommendation?

I think this is exactly that your looking for. if it works for 3.5..4 it will most likely work with higher versions read the whole thread there maybe some good tips and other information

I just found a template change for vB 2.x that does exactly what I need regarding the "!!!" and "???", looks quite simple:

I don't know how to apply this to 3.6.x though. Can anybody help?
