Simple, this mod integrates with the icash mod (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=119086&) to allow you to charge people points for posting topics in certain parts of your forum.

This mod was written for and tested on vBulletin 3.6.5, though it should work with the 3.5.x series, as well.

Nice, but I don't quite get it what this does yet.

Do you mean that this hacks charges (substracts a number of points) when a user makes a new thread on somebody elses forum? Or what exactly does this?

It charges when they make threads in certain parts of your forum.

Oke thanks, but then I think you should change this text:
in certain boards
to something like
"on your forums" or "certain forumparts".

The "certain boards" gives the impression that it's on someone elses board.:)

Ty for the quick reply.

Hello, is there a chance to calculate how much characters were typed and have paying out according to it?

There is a difference between short post and long post...

Yeah, I suppose it is a bit confusing. I'll change it.

It is, though it'll require a fair bit of extra work. I'll look into implementing it.

Just to clarify: I'm assuming what you want is to charge more for longer posts, is that correct?

Nope. It allows you to deduct points when people post in certain forums.

Under VB options it shows a complete blank for me.
Plus under forum edit: Icash option When Enter a value and click on save it does not save anything.
I'm Uninstalling this until it is fixed completely.

Yeah, there is a showstopper bug in the modification. I'm currently working on releasing a patch for it. Anyone wishing to install this should wait for the Beta3 release.

From what I read so far, your hack is substracting points from a member, if he starts posting in a specific area of the board.
If this is correct, I have to say that you can do it already with the standard i-cash. It allows you to enter the points a user will get for a post or reply. So you only need to enter a negative amount. This will cause that this amount is substracted, if a user starts a thread or reply to a thread.
Maybe it´s a good addtion, if this substraction is also based on the usergroup (eg. mods can post without needing the points, while normal members need to pay points). And addtionally to this it would be great, if the hack prevents new posts, if a member don´t have the amount of points.

Ah, didn't occur to me that you could do that with icash.

I'll probably tie in in with the usergroups system at some stage.

Can this be done for any points system?

It could be with a relatively simple change.

The moment I get round to finishing it.

Not currently, but i'll add that to the todo list for the future

I have installed but nothing happend. I cant find where to input how much money I want to charge for certain area.

It's one of the options in the edit forum section, and there should be a field to add the amount you want to charge.

Currently, I wouldn't recommend anyone uses this until i've released Beta 3

Sorry for the late replys. For some reason, I wasn't sent any notifications.

It was recently updated, New functionality allows you to edit each forum and enter a number (neg or pos) and have it charge or give the person that much.

IT doesn't matter any more, this mod died when I didn't have time to go through and fix the bugs that emerged. Some day, I plan on coming back and finishing it but I can't guarantee that to be soon. Sorry to those who may be disappointed.
