Ebay affiliate Conversion for 3.6.x?

Amykhar made this conversion script for Amazon:

She says in the first thread that the two could be combined to make a working ebay affiliate link converter for 3.6.x... but I'm not having any luck doing it. Can anyone make this happen?

This tool will convert any ebay link to an affiliate-ized one, so it should show you what they need to look like, hopefully:

i've got the same error. the link was good last night but now i get the "you don't have permission page."

That's kind of what I figured happened. No big deal - I understand and appreciate your help.

While we're waiting, can you explain in broad terms what one needs to do to the Amazon plugin to make it work for other affiliates? I have others besides ebay that I'd like to set up if I can figure it out. What parts need to be changed?

I don't know how the other coders coded their hacks, so I wouldn't have a clue. Also, I don't have time to go through other people's hacks atm.
