Join usergroup?

Hi i just installed Ishop were u can buy images, but i want my user to be able to buy usergroup access. So my Q is: How can i make some one join a usergroup after they execute a screipt? Or if some one is really nice, how do i get I Ishop to be able to sell usergrups?
