Force user title and member list change

I have subscription groups, and I would like to have a way where the secondary group title is always shown. Right now, the user has to choose to show it. Is there a way I can force it to always have their secondary group title applied to them?

Also, I want to have my registered usergroup NOT show on th member list. Easy enough. However, I want a secondary group that DOES show on the list, and have it over ride the default registered user setting. It should work this way, but vB has confirmed it's a bug and it doesn't work right. Is there a way I can modify my vB to make it work this way in the meantime?

Default Title (which is determine by post)
Subscription Title (which is done by u)

Yes. But there also needs to be a heirarchy, since a user can be part of more than one usergroup.
