User Profile Fields direct to Specific User Groups?

Is there a way that based upon a user profile field, that it assigns a new user to a specific user group?

any ideas?

for example if a user selects "Chevy" as the custom user profile, it will put him in a usergroup called 'Chevy"...

Is this possible... Want to do this, so I send targeted emails, etc. just to a specific user group.
