I am migrating a Yahoo Group board to a real board, being vbulletin and have some questions regarding e-mail notifications.

Currently, most users are getting all emails. Is there a way to still allow users to follow all threads for those that wish to choose to do so, or, turn it on by default and allow users to UNsubscribe to the threads they do not wish.

I know people can subscribe by email, the threads they want to follow AFTER they post, but what about the people who just want to get emails without posting?

In addition, is there a way to allow people to reply to a post via email?

Yes, they can still follow msgs in a forum. But no, there's not a way to turn it ON by default that I know of.

Yep, just subscribe to an entire FORUM.(See Getting all the messages in a forum (http://www.recumbentriders.org/forums/showthread.php?t=105).)

Not to my knowledge.

Now this is something I would fine useful because many of my users are coming from a yahoogroup setting, and some use the email post feature on yahoogroups.

Most of our group originated from Yahoo as well, so I've been watching for any hacks that could do this...but nothing to date.
