supermoderator can't see new member's profile

Is that normal? My supermoderator has been given all "yes" in his user group account all but for administrator rights to ADMINCP but still can't see user profiles esp. of the new unactivated members. Is that the default?

If the members are awaiting moderation through the adminCP, usually only the admin can see their profile.
