What hackes were iplemented to get the javascript above where you enter the message in a response? And what hack lets you just click on the smily? I am using 2.0 beta 5, and can't figure out if they are hacks or just something I forgot to fill out.

It is a standard feature in beta 5. Revert your new posting templates to the original and make sure vBCode Buttons are turned on in your profile.
