Is it possible to make one particular post always on top like a sticky post?

I have a post every month I would like to be on top for 10 days, maybe like announcements always on top of the "Latest post" is that possible ?

Something like:

1. announcement post
2. announcement post
3. latest post
4. latest post
5. latest post
5. etc

Hi i installed this add on and when ever ther is a video posted from youtube it screws up the latest threads in my forum

It makes the size of the complete forum crazy. After i remove that post everything goes back to normal.

This only happens when a video post is in the latest post.

Weird - even if I paste $latest into a template it doesn't appear but if I use the autoplacement options like under navbar it works.

How can I set a 'cutoff' on the number of characters of the THREAD-TITLE displayed before the '...' is placed in automatically? I know that a cutoff can be placed on the number of characters of the post content shown before the '...' is inserted, but I would like to also use a cutoff on the thread-title to prevent the length of the title moving onto a new line.

It is updated in my newer version that is released under the 3.7.x. It should work on 3.6.x as well though.

Everything works well except I've noticed that if the query trims the thread-title at a speech-mark ( " ) , instead of displaying the speech-mark in the result it shows &quot... instead. But if I increase the cut-off by a few more characters then the speech mark is displayed correctly. How can I make the query display the speech-mark without it displaying '&quot...' at certain lengths of cutoff?

Here is the query to trim the thread-title:

We have installed the plugin for a few days, in the right side of the forum, meaning that it would be triggered on every pageload.

That we believe created a tremendous server load on the database server, forcing us to remove the plugin.

Has anybody else experienced something like this ?

This should only be triggered on the forum index unless you modified it, it also says that you have not even downloaded this mod, so not sure where you are getting that.

Version 2.4 displays the posts of the same subject and not just one as before.

One simple thing that I think would make this perfect would be (as a poster a page ago said) if the latest threads were not duplicated. As of now if the last 5 replies on my board are in the same thread the latest posts on the front page looks really silly as all the same thread. If you could filter out the duplicates this would be stellar.

I had installed version 1.0 and it worked like a charme. But after a complete new installation I had to use the latest version now and I have to say that I´m not very happy with it anymore.

Isnt it possible to add options in the acp for this hack for:
a) include forums
(I´ve more forums to exclude then to include)
b) follow usergroup permissions yes/no
(if you want to use the hack as kind of teaser, it´s required that users can see the posts but cant enter them. In version 1.0 it works)

I know this is a real simple addition, but for the life of me it doesn't work! It shows the table and thead, but the tbody ($latest_post_bits) is empty! Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

This is one of my favorite mods and I am attempting to use it to pull RSS feed titles from one of my hidden forums. I'm thinking this could be done easily but I'd rather put in the admin the forum ID# from the forum I want to use instead of the multiple forums I want to exclude. Can this be done?

Also, I wanted to eliminate both the forum and author columns and just have the titles from the feed and the source (if possible).

Maybe there is another mod out there that does this so I can continue to use this one as designed as well. Anyone know of one? Thanks.

Yes I could set that up for ya, as a temporary fix you can just edit the phrases. Will do in next small update

EDIT: By the way, the "Latest 5 Posts" Changes to like "latest 10 Posts" and so on. How ever many you have it grabbing, it changes that number
