prevent inactive users from downloading

I would love to see a hack that would prevent inactive users from being able to download content added to threads on my board. I know alot of my members register/will register just to download stuff and not post a single thank you. After the set time they will go inactive and just leech. Forcing them to contribute something would be spectacular. I hope someone else will have use for this and be encouraged to code it.

U welcome but I think the first few pages of the thread were having problems that were taken care of by the coder. It's working for me on 3.6.5...till now..don't wanna be too optimistic :)

I wish there was a solution for non-thread starters though because with this hack all members have yo do is reply to posts with lame replies like thanks or thaaanks. I need something to deal with people who only reply and not start threads of their own..I think of them as leechers really..feeding off other people's work and not providing any of their own.
