Lately I've noticed that during high traffic times GoDaddy is just crapping out on me, and I'm absolutely fed up with it. I've read up on everything I need to do to move the forums to another host, but there's one problem; the plan I'm using on GoDaddy does not have SSH. So, my question is whether or not exporting the SQL database via phpmyadmin and loading that onto the new server's database is good enough. If not, what are your guys' suggestions for the best way for me to move out of this craphole of GoDaddy?

An export made with a webbased script (like phpMyAdmin or AdminCP) can often cause problems because of timeouts.
The only reliable way to backup is using shell commands. See the following pages in our manual:
Backup: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_backup
Restore: http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_restore
Some people have also reported success with these scripts:
MySQLDumper:

MySQLHotxcopy:

Bigdump:

Used MySQLDumper and it worked great. I'm now hosting with www.site5.com on a dedicated server. Thanks for the help!

GoDaddy might not give YOU ssh access , but can't you request them to dumpo the sql for you and upload it to some folder for you ? ssh is the best way to take backup restore , as mentioned above

You can purchase a dedicated IP which really helped me.
