Limit Posting to users with more than X posts?

Is there any simple way to limit posting in a forum / board to users with more than X posts?

Yes:

- Disallow Registered Members usergrop from posting in that forum
- Create a new usergroup that does have permissions
- Setup a Promotion after X posts from Registered Members to the new usergroup
