it sure does for us?
after a few sentences you can't type anything anymore. and then it also makes our site get lots of page not found errors.
any suggestions.

I've never had a problem with Flashchat, and I've been running it for well over a year now.
Edit: On an unrelated note, the fact that you have a site about pants with over a million posts makes me chuckle. :D

The integration between FlashChat and vBulletin has some vulnerabilities - I had my site and also a site I mod on get hacked via FlashChat.

for a $5 app - FlashChat is AWESOME! Even if it were a $30 app - It'd still be worth the money - It's quite nice IMHO ;)
ALSO the vulnerabilities with FlashChat & vBulletin are now non-existent when you have the most recent version of both.

I was also hacked using the same method. It's fixed in the new versions, as said above.

vBChat is for 3.0.x. It will not work on the 3.5.x or 3.6.x versions, unless someone release the latest compatible version

I have seen vBChat work on 3.6x

I once got hacked because of this, when I was a n00b on my old old forum :)

re-installing flashchat and redoing all the permissions really helped things a lot.
we still have the little lag, but it seems to be going quite well. props to the developers.
(and excuse my pessimism in the original post, we were just having it wreak havoc on our site before we re-installed it)

I think a lot has to do with what type of server you are running. You need a Full Dedicated Server and not this shared hosting crap. I had that same problem until I've upgraded to 4 gigs of memory and a high power cpu like "CloverTown"

we are on a powerful dedicated server. i think it was the old version of flashchat. the upgrade is running much better now.
dang. the dreaded flashchat "page not found" error is happening.
after somebody logs out , it usually makes all the pages on the site say "page not found"
frustrating.
