log out issues

I get various members that have issues with the forum logging them out. Now, unfortunately I do not have exact info from them, but most are using either IE6, IE7 or FF2. I have never had this problem personally myself and I'm using FF2 with Vista. The rest are likely using XP if not Vista.

When they attempt to post, they get the usual guest message:

You are currently viewing our boards as a guest which gives you limited access to view most discussions and access our other features. How can I trace this problem, specifically by members if possible (backend logs)? I'm using 3.6.5

Due to my custom theme, there is no "remember me" option (stupid move on the designers part). Can someone kindly provide the default code?

Thank you. Just a small problem that I need your help with and don't wish to mess with myself:

The remember me is showing up before the password field

Also, just wondering what you would suggest for the cookie settings. I was given the advice of adding this in the cookie domain section

Originally, it was blank. When I added the above, the forum would no longer allow me to log out (although it went through the usual process, confirmation, etc). I removed it again and I can log out. But, I just want to make sure no one will have problems again with cookies. A majority of my members are not technically inclined honestly.
