Hide all but first post

This might sound weird at first but I am looking for a way to show ONLY the first post in a thread for certain one of my forums.

It would work like many blogs where the main blog (first post in a thread) is shown and you can click a link to comment or view comments.

Any idea where I can find a mod like this or what I can do to make it?

Well, if you look up "CES Site News" (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=137365) on here, it does pretty much what you're asking.

You can designate a News forum, which changes the Forum Display to show the first post of each thread. I believe you can also designate how much of the post to show before the "Read More" link.

However, I had lots of trouble with getting it to work, and the template for the actual thread view needs a lot of work. You should give it a try.

That looks like a bit more than I wanted but maybe i can take a few pieces of it for what i need.

If anybody knows some code or a mod that will hide all but the first post it would be great!
