Hello,
I am going through the process of looking for another host. I currently use a Go Daddy shared solution. I have roughly 130 registered users and about 20 are online at any typical given point. Not a very big site, but I am seeing A LOT of latency. i contacted the help desk of Go Daddy and this is what they stated to me:
"Please be aware that there is a maximum of 50 simultaneous connections per MySQL user. Slowness can occur if connections exceed 50 at one time."
They want be to upgrade to a dedicated or virtual server. I really don't think my site is that darn big to start doing that just yet.
I am not the most well-rounded SQL person in the world, so does the above quote translate into anything that is surprising to other vB users out there?
If anyone can tell me their hosting company's "max SQL connections", so I can compare...would be great!
