shoutbox security?

I have the latest version of the shoutbox and twice I've had some turkeys come in and post a message like:

So what's hacking about posting in the shoutbox? That's all they do. nothing has been tampered with and it's happened twice. Is there something I should be worried about or do these guys think they're awesome because they can post in the shoutbox?

We had that too. It did nothing and we just laughed at them and then banned them. Just because they say that it is hacked in the shoutbox, doesn't mean they actually did anything.

They may have put some HTML in there which did not parse... and *thought* they hacked you... those Turkish hax0rz what a bunch of dumhees... :rolleyes:

Don't worry about it. It's not like I look at every Turkish citizen to be some hacker wannabe:p Besides, I would treat it the same way if they were of other origin. And all I had to do was click delete:D

guests aren't able to use the shoutbox. The person doing this always registers.

On big forums, I try doing that. But ususally dosen't work, since it only takes them 2 secs to paste it back in :o
Then banning them. Only takes them 10 secs to make another account. IP bans could lead to proxy's.

I thought there are hacks that prevents certain proxies too?
