What this mod does is add a quick search box in the navbar along with a small drop down for advanced search. Installation is easy.
You can see a working example at www.4x4Mecca.com
Step 1: Edit template
That's it!

Thanks for taking the time for the screen shot. I have also uploaded a screen shot of what it looks like for me. I guess I was a little trigger happy when I posted this.

This doesnt work right for me. It places the search field after log out but does not disable the default search or change it in anyway.

Sorry, I've edited my navbar quite a bit, I'll go in on the original version and see what's required.

Still not working.
1)The text search still appears in the nav bar.
2)There is 2 drop down menu arrows.

Well you can delete the default search if you don't need it. If you could post all the lines of code where your search is, I'll see if I can see what's not working.

how is this any different from the standard default search that's already within the navbar, sans the word Quick which is placed in front? the advanced search option is already there by default, is it not?

Yes, but with this you type dirrectly into the box that says quick search. It's easier just to click there, type and hit enter. You can see the demo at www.4x4mecca.com The screen shot is just showing you the advanced drop down, by default it's not there.

You type your search directly in the navbar rather then having to open the drop down menu.

Sorry about not being able to access it. I'm having trouble with a new mod vbpager locking up the forum.
