I was directed over here from the sales folks at vb.com.

I would like to convert my existing Dragonfly CMS (www.dragonflycms.org) data over to vBulletin with ImpEx. Has anyone done this yet?

In my searching, I believe someone mentioned that I could export my posts as a CSV file and import it that way. I am assuming that there is a field-mapping interface with it, or no?

I am hesitant to buy before I know that I can move things over to vBulletin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks so much!

you have to go to this specific forum for support on ImpEx...

http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=92

.. strangely they redirected you to here, but they are the ones to manage the ImpEx system.

he was directed to vB.org probably because there is no importer for this system. vB.org would be the place to request a custom importer.

strangely, i don't get that... logically, as there is no protocol or SDK for the ImpEx system, they are supposed to be the ones to create these imports... that's one thing they forgot to support !

I agree. I need to import some custom user fields, and asked over at vB.com in the Impex forum. I was given the same answer that I always get:

We don't support anything!!! Go to vB.org and leave us alone!!!

OK. Well maybe it wasn't phrased quite that way, but the result is still the same...anytime you ask for help over there, for anything...you almost always get the same answer.

That's why I start here, and leave .com alone!!!

Found a thread with instructions for the phpbb based one which were not 100% but I have posted the stages I did here:
