Start posting and fill your forum with post until you get at least 5000.

At 5,000 post, any forum looks pretty good.

Merge a whole lot of your forums.

You have for example:
Women's Health
Men's Health
Diets
Drugs
Illnesses & Conditions
Skin & Beauty
Disorders
General
Alcohol

Not a SINGLE one of those above forums has one single post as of today (28 Feb 2007); it looks bad, and drives potential newcomers away. For example, all the above forums could be merged into a single forum named "Health", or if you insist, simply only have "Women's Health" and "Men's Health", and delete the 7 other forums.

Do the same for your other forums; simplify and consolidate; wait until number of posts actually necessitates new forums before you create them.

I agree way to many forums to start with. I suggest starting with a fewer amount, then add them as you go. I would really focus on bringing up the amount of posts in the forum. Maybe find a member or two to help get things started up.
