Backup Attached Files

After looking through the postings I could not find an answer to backing-up only attached files.

I would like to backup only all attached files. The files need to maintain their extensions. Ideally they would somehow hold the authors name, but that maybe dreaming.

This is not possible with default vBulletin, and i have never seen a modification for it.
