I'll start out by saying GREAT SYSTEM.. love it! :)

I've just converted from UBB (ack) to Vb 2.0 beta 5. I've added some PHP code in the parse section to allow me to easily have different header graphics for each forum based on the forumid variable. The problem is when you go into a thread the forumid is not passed directly. Does anyone know how i can quickly retrieve the forumid for the thread called? I've looked and I know I can make an SQL query but I know the system has already done this so why do it twice ;).

My code in the Parse Area goes kinda like this:

$url_link[9] = 'http://www.clant2k.com';
$url_link[12] = 'http://www.clancreepingdeath.com';
$url_link[13] = 'http://www.clanaoa.com';
$url_link[14] = 'http://kya.eqclans.com';
$url_link[15] = 'http://kya.eqclans.com';
$url_link[16] = 'http://freeweb.pdq.net/smooth/DigitalAssassins/DigitalAssassins.html';
$url_link[17] = 'http://freeweb.pdq.net/smooth/DigitalAssassins/DigitalAssassins.html';
$url_link[18] = 'http://www.clanaoa.com';
$url_link[19] = 'http://www.clanlogic.net';
$url_link[20] = 'http://www.dfwlanparty.com';
$url_link[21] = 'http://www.clan-lod.org';
$url_link[23] = 'http://www.clancreepingdeath.com';
$url_link[25] = 'http://news.clant2k.com';
$url_link[26] = 'http://tna.clanaoa.com';
$url_link[27] = 'http://www.clan-occ.org';
$url_link[28] = 'http://www.clan-occ.org';
$url_link[32] = 'http://www.planetquake.com/shug/';
$url_link[34] = 'http://www.blizzard.com/diablo2/';
$url_link[35] = 'http://www.clanden.com';
$url_link[36] = 'http://www.clanden.com';
$url_link[39] = 'http://www.caseetc.com';
$url_link[42] = 'http://ecco.hyperlogic.net/meninblack/';
$url_link[43] = 'http://kya.eqclans.com/server/';
$url_link[44] = 'http://www.labtyd.com';
$url_link[45] = 'http://www.contractkiller.com';
$url_link[49] = 'http://go.to/clanktt';
$url_link[50] = 'http://tna.clanaoa.com';
$url_link[53] = 'http://www.geocities.com/v3venivediveci/intropage.htm';
$url_link[54] = 'http://www.godsofmortality.com';
$url_link[55] = 'http://www.d2gclan.com';
$url_link[58] = 'http://www.b4m.n3.net';

$headergraphic = '/images/vBulletin_logo.gif';
$url = 'index.php?s=' . $session[sessionhash];

$filepath = '/home/mygamewear/public_html/images/headers/forum' . $forumid . '.gif';

if ($url_link[$forumid]) {
$url = $url_link[$forumid];
}

if (is_file($filepath)) {
$headergraphic = '/images/headers/forum' . $forumid . '.gif';
}

Then I just use $url and $headergraphic in my header.

Thanks for any help.

Try using $threadinfo['forumid'] for threads.

Thanks for the reply!

I added:

if ($threadid) {
$forumid = $threadinfo['forumid'];
}

above the other if statements.. and it does trigger but the $threadinfo['forumid'] is not returning a result.
