I currently have a forum with Photopost but I really am getting frustrated with it. I was wondering what everyone feels is the best image gallery system for vbull 3.6+

Could you be a bit more specfic as to why are you frustrated with PP?

well for one it times out when I try to upload alot of pictures. Same for video files.. ive already changed settings in my php.ini file to keep the server from killing the script if it runs to long. Second problem is you cant create folders in each category to upload photos into unless you make a personal folder in which that folder shows up under a personal folder rather then under a category. It just makes it hard to keep pictures organized.

well, wouldn't you get that upload problem with any script? Sounds more like a server problem.

not sure.. ive tried many different configs... it still doesnt have the ability to add new folders when uploading a new set of pictures in a category. I would like this feature atleast.. I also run another forum on the same server with no upload problems every. Its running vBadvanced Gallery v1.0.1

Ever since I changed my upload size allowed on my server, no problems here. How large are the file sizes you are having problems with?

I have been using PP for 2 years now "30 000 users board" and we add around 500 pictures every week.

It's just perfect but ...tell you the truth, it's starting to look OLD... I mean, i am thinking about using a flash based gallery ...with some cool icons and effects or something ...

I hear that. And the template system needs a revamp as well.

<a href="http://www.photoplog.com/" target="_blank">Photoplog</a> seems like a very good alternative to Photopost.

Photoplog (http://www.photoplog.com/) seems like a very good alternative to Photopost. If you're running a large site and have many images in your gallery, moving from a paid, fully developed and supported script to a free one that may or may not work with updated versions of vB is absurd. Not to mention most if not all of these other scripts don't have importers.
