I have quite a large number of FLV and Flash files i have taken myself and would like to host for my community to view.

I would also like (if possible) the ability for my members to upload their own FLV and or Flash files to the site.

Does anybody know of a mod commercial or free that would look and act akin to youtube or similar video hosts ?

Yes i already have a youtube hack installed but i wish to host my own video files, not have to rely on youtubes services for our local community videos.

No integration with forums but you may want to look at http://www.clip-share.com

You want that if a user uploads a video to your site, it's just like a video uploaded to youtube? With the nice flash menu for stop and play?

I also would really find this handy :)

Thanks reg and thats an interesting script. I would have considered it if it intergrated.

It doesn't have to be fully functional like youtube. Just a central location for our own video clips with users being able to upload their own and comment using the forums.

I'm quite surprised nothing like this exists either as a mod or indeed commercial for vbulletin and thus why i asked (in case i had missed something).

We have quite a few galleries on vbulletin so most of the framework is done (it isn't a million miles away from a gallery that i'm looking for).

I guess it wouldn't take a whole lot of programming from a competent programmer to turn say photoplog into a video presentation system, In fact it could be incorporating into the existing system presenting galleries and videos.
