There is a small problem. If you delete all without having bothered to read a message, the new message indicator still flashes that you have unread messages.

And the count still says you have a total of XX messages stored

It needs to update table user and set pmtotal and pmunread to 0

another hack for something that is available via default vB... ugh.

So this deletes all private messages, in all folders? Even custom folders?

it would have been unique if it was to delete all messages for all users............lets say with addon....as older than 30 days or so

FreshFroot

um... in the default vB.. you can already delete members PM's....

Yea, if this is already available, sorry. I just did it because someone asked.

how do you NOT know that this is a default feature in vB, AND you're releasing hacks for the public?!?! what does that say of your hacks? hopefully users will think before they needlessly install useless modifications on their forums that may result in security risks.

Will you be kind and point me where in vb you can delete all pm (inbox, sent items etc...) at once?

I'll have too look but there is a link I'm thinking from memory.. I think USERS---> Private Messages Stats... and in there it tells you how many people have XXXXXXXX what ever amount of emails.. then you can click it and see who has say.. 200 PMS... and u can click on their username and click delete Private messages.. which cleans out their whole PM box...

This is for admin. What I'd like to know is where is the convenient one click link to delete all messages in all folders is located for users. The only way I know to do it now is with many clicks per folder.

FreshFroot
02-15-2007, 05:34 AM
um... there is a clickable/checkable box in the 2-3 folders.. all you do is click the top box and it checks ALL boxes.. then you click delete and it deletes all the PMS

um... there is a clickable/checkable box in the 2-3 folders.. all you do is click the top box and it checks ALL boxes.. then you click delete and it deletes all the PMS

you do this, then you do that, then you select another folder and redo this and redo that, then you reclick delete.

This mini hack is ONE CLICK for all. But I am still waiting for the other guy answer, to explain how this is already in vbulletin. If not, he really made a fool out of himself and should apologize if he is wrong.

The only thing I would do if I were Gio would be to change the phrase "Delete All" to "Empty all folders", and to fix the bug I reported. I fixed mine, but for the others....

Could you point the part where it would be the default in vB?
Also to let others know
