About this hack:
This idea and part of this hack are a port over from a hack made for vb3.0 called Moderator Management System. I have changed the name since I did not include the weekly PMs about your mods in this hack. This hack only gives you a page you can go to view stats on your mods. Although I did not include the weekly email, I have improved the hack in many ways. I have also added detailed columns of each type of action there is for a moderator to do. You can see what type of actions your moderators do.
Features:
Uses vBulletin easy Product installer/updater/uninstaller
Full set of options
Uses AJAX Tecnology so advanced info does not have to be loaded all the time.
Setting to add other usergroups to the stats (eg. smods and admin)
Setting for who can view the stats
Only a plug-in. No FTP file uploading required.
Can sort by any category

Which extra's did you include with this version?
Does this catch the moderator actions in Andrew D's Link and Downloads manager(LDM) and in Photopost as well? If not; is there a chance on such add on to the moderator stats hack?

Check your ACP under forums and moderators and list your moderators and see if they are listed there. Just changing their access from moderator to whatever isn't enough to remove them.

Did you remove the moderator from "his" forums?
I don't know the right english expressions @ the ACP, but i try to translate from my german board:
forum & moderators -> show all moderators -> [remove this moderator from all forums]
Foren & Moderatoren -> Alle Moderatoren anzeigen -> [Diesen Moderator aus allen Foren l?schen]
Is the "not existing" moderator be listet there -> you should cancel him from the forum.
Maybe this link will help =>

Thanx for this - had this mod for 3.5.4 - but the AJAX you've implemented makes it that much better!
1. suggestion - for soft deleted threads... possibly have a link to each soft-deleted thread so Admin can easily go to the thread and moderate :)
Other than that - really excellent share!
Thanx,

I have this to. You can clear this by pruning the moderator log. Somehow it does take some time afterwards(probably 30 days) before the ex- moderators are no longer shown. One mod, I could not remove.

Thanks to stinger2 who let me test the problem with old mods showing up, I was able to figure out the problem and come up with a fix.
It is more of a vb bug then mine, but I'm the one that will release a fix.
This happened when you had a forum and moderator for it, then you deleted the forum BEFORE you removed the moderator. You think you loose the moderator also? Wrong! For some unknown reason, vB keeps the row in the database but changes the forumid to -1.
He is fix for those who want to fix before my next update.
Go to your Plugin System. Open up the Moderator Stats plugin that is located by misc_start.
Find:
$show_moderators_usergroups = 'OR moderator.userid = user.userid';
and replace with:
$show_moderators_usergroups = 'OR (moderator.userid = user.userid AND moderator.forumid != \'-1\')';
Save the plug-in.

Would it be feasable to add "average response time to reports in his own forum"? If it is, this would be a major advancement IMO.
Would it be feasable to add "average response time to reports in his own forum"? If it is, this would be a major advancement IMO.
This would mean a moderator has to post in every thread created in forums he moderates.
Alfa1
02-19-2007, 01:16 AM
No, this is not about posting.
When a member reports a rule violation by hitting the report post button, this generates a email to the moderator on a certain time. If that mod responds to the report, by any moderator action in the reported thread on a certain time there after, you can measure the response time, the moderator took. Did the moderator respond quickly or did he fix it a week later and leave the problem existing for all this time?
Another related feature would be the amount of reports the moderator responded to.

I have tried an install of this on a test server and haven't been able to get it to work. I am able to access and change the settings in the acp, but when I go to http://YOUR FOURM/misc.php?do=moderator_stats (replacing YOUR FOURM with the url to the forum root of course) the page gets stuck at loading. I have also turned off all other plugins and still have the same result.
Does this plugin not work well with large board as this is a very large board? Any other ideas as to why it isn't working here?

A very nice and really useful hack, just wonder if would be possible to include banns and the infraction system as well? Or did I miss something?
Also would be nice to have the “Moderator Actions by ForumID” and the”Moderator

For all those who forget where to locate the stats page, I just did a quick template change which sorted it out for me.
Navbar:
Find:
<if condition="$show['wollink']"><tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="online.php$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[whos_online]</a></td></tr></if>
add below
<if condition="$bbuserinfo[userid]"><tr><td class="vbmenu_option"><a href="$vboptions[bburl]/misc.php?do=moderator_stats$session[sessionurl]">View Moderator Stats</a></td></tr></if>
That will place a link to the mod stat page in your navbar.
Not figured out how to restrict it to just the groups allowed to view, but if anyone who isn't allowed to view it attempts to view, they'll get the standard vBulletin no permission page.

I took a different approach and added the link to the settings by editing one of the phrases. Locate the phrase of your choice from the hack and add
<a href="/misc.php?do=moderator_stats">Click to view current stats</a>
I added the link in setting_abe1_mms_days_desc
My navbar is too busy to be adding more links to it, plus it's one less template edit to watch out for when updating.

i changed usergroup[primary] of my supermod to another[vip]
then also he is in list in this mod-stats while other vip arent in it
then i changed his usergroup to registered users then also he was in the list and his userid isnt mentioned in vbulletion options/mod stats in ACP.
only supermod and mod and admin should be into this list as i set this for this 3 usergroups only.
and how to add this button of it in quicklinks?
I'm not sure your question.

I like this hack.
Is there a way to find out how many minutes a moderator has been online? This would be useful
Wow! I think that would be extremely useful information for all site owners. Speaking for myself I know it would be since I am now looking for someway to get that exact information. Is there any chance this would be considered for the next release.
I have found this product to be one of the most useful I have ever installed. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to develop and support it. Very much appreciated!

Wow! I think that would be extremely useful information for all site owners. Speaking for myself I know it would be since I am now looking for someway to get that exact information. While is very helpful to see when moderators were last signed in, it would be even more useful to also be able to see how much time they were spending on the site as well. Is there any chance this would be considered for the next release.

Question:
When looking at my mod stats, when I click view, it expands and looks like the attached.
How can I fix this?
Thanks
Jacob
Yes, the dark print shows up on a dark background in the Ajax details list. Had this problem with vbGallery, too, but fixed it in the template. Not sure how to apply that here. Anyway, just wanted to note that another user is having problems with it and to say, this is color that shows up in the heading (moderator, last activity, posts, etc.) and is showing behind the detail text.
I applied the 'used to be mods' fix and we really appreciate this program. Thanks!

There's a post on that a few pages back!
I have a question: even if I have no groups to show, so it just shows the moderator group, it still shows the first person from the admin and supermod group, is there a way to correct this?
Also, it shows files that moderators have uploaded as mod actions, is there a way to stop that?

I can;t stop it from counting what moderators upload. I'm not sure why vb keeps track of it.

Is there a way to have this link/option in the stats in the AdminCP instead of always adding it after the /forums/misc.php?do=moderator_stats
Its getting old always typing this at the end of the / just to see the stats or maybe Im doing something wrong...
Thanks guys....

Not sure if this has been addressed but... this thing shows statistics for people who "used to be" Moderators on my forums that were removed long ago. Apparently this is somewhat a result of vBulletin itself, and so I'm not sure why the "residue" of these ex-Moderators is being taken into consideration by the Advanced Moderator Statistics mod, but if I could get these ex-Mods to not show upon accessing misc.php?do=moderator_stats, it would be wonderful.
Excellent mod, by the way. Keep up the good work!
Edit: Nevermind, I apologize! After reading further back through this thread, I discovered that the solution was posted. Sorry!

Yea, that problem is there on almost all of my sites as well. Post #43 here resolves the issue.
For anyone still wishing to add a link in the AdminCP (like I have), here's the instructions to do so:
Open includes/xml/cpnav_vbulletin.xml
Find:
<navoption displayorder="30">
<phrase>moderator_log</phrase>
<link>modlog.php?do=choose</link>
</navoption>
Add after:
<navoption displayorder="35">
<phrase>moderator_stats</phrase>
<link>../misc.php?do=moderator_stats</link>
</navoption>
Save cpnav.xml and reload your AdminCP.
The new option is present in the Statistics and Logs section under Moderator Log.

Thanks. But did you mean cpnav_vbulletin.xml. That's what I changed.
Also it's a bit too big for the admincp window, is it possible to open in in a new window, by itself?

This works on vB 3.7. However, it's showing a few users who are non-mods in the statistics page (specifically, they were once moderators, but haven't been moderators of any forums for months). Is there a reason why this is being displayed like this?

My supermods are reporting that when they run it, the whole forum stops for a few minutes.
At which point people start complaining that the forums are slow.

Hello
any news, about the version for 3.7?
Blind Guardian
09-25-2008, 02:49 AM
Well it works on 3.7 as is, it's just missing the ability to show infractions.
That's easily fixed by adding a few lines of code here and there. Firstly under the "Moderators Stats" misc_start hook find the following:
$moderatorinfo[$moderator['userid']]['threadforum'] = 0;
And after it, add:
$moderatorinfo[$moderator['userid']]['infraction'] = 0;
Then find:
// load thread information
$moderatorthreads = $db->query_read("
SELECT postuserid, dateline, forumid
FROM ".TABLE_PREFIX."thread
WHERE postuserid IN (".implode(",",$moderatorids).")
AND dateline >= $settings_days_time
");
while ($moderatorthread = $db->fetch_array($moderatorthreads))
{
if ($moderatorthread['dateline'] >= $settings_thread)
{
$moderatorinfo[$moderatorthread['postuserid']]['thread']++;
}
if (in_array($moderatorthread['forumid'], $moderatorinfo[$moderatorthread['postuserid']]['forums']) && $moderatorthread['dateline'] >= $settings_thread_forum)
{
$moderatorinfo[$moderatorthread['postuserid']]['threadforum']++;
}
}
And after it add:
//Obtain warning information
$moderatorinfractions = $db->query_read("
SELECT whoadded, points, dateline
FROM ".TABLE_PREFIX."infraction
WHERE whoadded IN (".implode(",",$moderatorids).")
AND dateline >= $settings_days_time
");
while ($moderatorinfraction = $db->fetch_array($moderatorinfractions))
{
if ($moderatorinfraction['dateline'] >= $settings_thread)
{
$moderatorinfo[$moderatorinfraction['whoadded']]['infraction']++;
}
}
Now you just have to add it into the templates, so go to MODERATOR_STATS and after:
<td class="thead" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap">
<a href="misc.php?$session[sessionurl]do=moderator_stats&order=$oppositesort&sort=modlog">$vbphrase[total_moderator_actions]</a> $sortarrow[modlog]
</td>
Add:
<td class="thead" valign="top" nowrap="nowrap">
<a href="misc.php?$session[sessionurl]do=moderator_stats&order=$oppositesort&sort=infrac tion">Infractions</a> $sortarrow[infraction]
</td>
Note: I couldn't be bothered with phrasing. If you're wanting that kind of thing, add it yourself.
And finally in moderator_stats_bit_user find:
<td class="$bgclass">$moderatorstats[modlog]</td>
And after add:
<td class="$bgclass">$moderatorstats[infraction]</td>
You can put those columns anywhere you want, but I like them after the actions.
That should be everything. There's no "total infractions" or fancy addition to the expanded AJAX information, but it works.

If somebody could modify this to allow me to EXCLUDE forums from stats, I could pay for such a modification.
for example, i have off topic forum and support forum. I don't care the posts and moderation actions in off topic forums, but I would rather get only stats of moderators in support forums.
Please PM me if you can do what I need. I can pay by paypal.

03-19-2009, 02:59 AM
I'm wondering about the statistics shown...
For example, total moderator actions... is that like within the last x days or something? For some reason some of my moderators have a 0 there when they have performed moderator actions, just not recently. I couldn't find anything on it, so I'm wondering if it's some kind of bug, or if I'm not understanding what the statistics reflect.
Thanks,

It's been discussed in several posts before yours that this mod is not fully compatible with newer vB versions. It was built and released for 3.6, and has not been updated since Feb. of 2007. I wouldn't expect the developer to bother working out all the bugs that it has since it has fallen behind.
