Ok so I have both the News and Recent News enabled and selected for my main page.

The news shows up no problem but I have yet to have the News Archive display anything. I have the following settings:
Number of Archived News Posts to Display
7
Show Preview in Archive?
Yes
Show Last Post Info
Yes
Show Forum
Yes
