Soliloquy

I want to encourage more new users to feel welcome and post introductions, and to that end I considered Automatically Start a Welcome Thread in the Forum of Your Choice (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=91887&highlight=welcome+thread). I didn't want dozens of new threads with all the same text in them, though, so I'm currently trying out Welcome thread on registration (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=98553) by macooper. I don't think it's ideal either; though it gives the new user the option to create their own introduction thread, if they don't it still creates a cookie-cutter thread using that new user's username.
What I'd really like to see would be a mod that, during or just after registration, prompts the new user to make their first post or decline to do so by asking them questions that get put together in the post. For instance, in my forum I'd ask them to tell us their favorite joke, who their favorite performer is, etc. It should also have fields for title and text so they can add anything else they like, plus support for smileys and BBcode.
Has anyone already made something like that and I've just managed to miss it? If not I think this would be very useful for a lot of people.
