I am very new to this and just started editing for the first time. I need someone to help me with what i need to do to customize the forum. I am attempting to make it similar to this forum [vbulletin.org] in width, and how everything is stacked. Can anyone give me any pointers? Here is my progress this far:

The page BG is full width.I have no clue how to fix that. Also the forms and such like this search page, won't change width. I have tried changing all width and padding values, but everything seems to not work.
Any help would be great full.
