I had an interesting idea for the Mods section of vBulletin.org;

There are many times I'm browsing the Add-ons available but don't have time to install them right then & there.

An 'Add to ToDo' list would be cool to 'bookmark' Mods users like to easily come back to at a later time & install.

How does that idea sound?

You can subscribe to the hack so you don't forget about it.

That's a hack for this hack, a full fledged add-on addressing this would be really nice :-)

I agree with Fire Fish.

Why do you need an in-site bookmark list when you have a browser bookmark list?

Becuase I have 4 PC's on my Work Desk & 3 on my home Desk + 2 servers.
I also sometimes work at other locations.

Create a folder in your subscriptions via your userCP then add the threads to there. You can then also view these threads via your userCP to see which onces have new replies in them.

That's the way I do it... I have a few folders... and it helps remind me of things to look at, and keeps it organized.

This is the only thing I truly miss from SMF - the bookmark addon.

The biggest site I can think of that uses that type of feature and is a GREAT example of why a separate "Subscriptions" and "Bookmarks" is beneficial is Craftster.org.

When you are working on a ton of projects, it's much easier to tack off the Bookmark option on a thread and have a HUGE list of "To Do"s. Because of the sheer number of "To Do"s on a site like that, it's extremely handy to have them separated. Subscription folders are an "okay" solution, but in certain environments the other way is preferred.

Totally agreed.

And agreed here. I use subscriptions for active discussions - while I could use my email client for todo stuff, I prefer to have such things separate from each other. I don't want a new post to a to-do thread to show up in my subscriptions - those are for discussions, or for keeping track of news, not for holding a 'link'.
