I was told in a thread on the vBulletin.com Pre-Sales board (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=218131) that I would be able to find a mod over here that would allow me to integrate a pre-existing User Managment System with vBulletin.

Specifically, we already have a proprietary system in place that allows users to register, log in and log out. I would like vBulletin to recognize when a user is logged into this system rather than forcing users to create and log in with a seperate account to use the vBulletin forum.

Can anyone point me to a mod that does that? Thanks.

EDIT: I should mention that I did try searching the mods section but I didn't manage to find anything.

I think there has been a misinterpretation. There is no one "mod" which will allow you to integrate a pre-existing proprietary User Management System with vBulletin.

vBulletin has no idea what data your UMS has to offer.
and your UMS has no idea what data vBulletin is able to understand or do anything with.

I've responded to your post back over at Pre-Sales on vBulletin.com.

Thank you very much for your responses, feldon23.

I wasn't expecting vBulletin (or any mod for vBulletin) to know what data our proprietary UMS has to offer. What I was hoping for was maybe a solution that modularizes the "bridge" that you talked about in the other thread so that vBulletin could work with any user management system.

I guess I should have made myself more clear in my original post. Thanks again for your responses.
