Author/User Info on Left side of posts???

I've noticed lots of styles that show the Author/User information on the left side of their posts instead of across the top.

I've looked everywhere I can think of, and searched all over... but can't find any info on how to set this up for my Styles/Themes.

Can someone please help me out? How do I get this set up?
